Studies involving the effectiveness of prescription drugs on illnesses or conditions are prevalent in the pharmaceutical industry. Many times the effects of prescription or experimental medications are compared to that of placebos. Generally it is desired that the persons administering the medication do not know which doses are real or which are placebos so that the results of the testing will be completely objective.

RFID tags may be affixed to these medications/placebos so that they are uniquely identified. The tags do not require the need for visual indicators. As medication is administered and doses recorded the RFID tag may be used.

Afterwards results may be compared against those medications used by way of the RFID tag assigned. As a result testing and results may be kept objective.
