Wal-Mart, Sam's Club RFID Compliance Package Released by epcSolutions

Great Falls, VA, October 31, 2007 – epcSolutions' RFIDTagManager, the leading Wal*Mart RFID solution platform with over 100 Wal*Mart supplier installations, is now available specifically to meet Sam's Club RFID requirement. According to a recent RFID Journal article, "Wal-Mart, Sam's Club Push RFID Further Along" October 5th by Mary Catherine O'Connor, "The RFID program at Sam's Club, a Wal-Mart-owned warehouse retail chain, is set to grow significantly. The company has begun asking 700 of its suppliers to attach an EPC Gen 2 RFID tag to each pallet of goods headed for the Sam's Club distribution center (DC) in DeSoto, Texas. Sam's Club has affixed location RFID tags to store shelving, and is using RFID interrogators mounted on forklifts to track the placement of tagged pallets by associating each pallet tag's Electronic Product Code (EPC) number with the nearest location tag."

"We are very pleased to add RFIDTagManager for Sam's Club to our suite of products," states Kevin Kail, CEO epcSolutions. The solution supports all major Gen2 Printers and Readers including Zebra, Motorola, Printronix, Intermec, Datamax, Paxar, Omron, ThingMagic, Psion, Falcon and Sato.

RFIDTagManager for Sam's Club, built on epcSolutions' SensorOS, allows the ability for end users to be able to meet the current Sam's Club RFID requirements with a simple out of the box solution requiring no additional software. RFIDTagManager for Sam's Club includes a full SQL database, EPCIS and connectivity to all the RFID hardware. RFIDTagManager for Sam's Club is easily integrated with existing ERP and other back end systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards and others.
